This week has finally been a bit quieter, but with 17 reports still to do, I am struggling to find time and space to get them done. Still, better than the 30 odd reports I started out with. The 17 include the new claims that have been coming through and with Kerry away this week I actually managed to do 9 reports in 2 nights… Then we had the power cuts!
The weather turned quite nasty again, and the power started coming and going, starting on Wednesday morning. We lost power about 6:30am and didn’t get it back until 11:30 am. The power kept fluctuating with the lights occasionally flickering and Thursday night, about 6pm, it went off. It came on briefly at 7:30pm but went off again until 9pm. Billy slept with me that night.
Friday, the power was still on when I left, but apparently it went off again, with news reports that it could be off for at least 2 days. When I got home, the power was back on, and apart from a 1/2 hr on Friday night, we have had power since.
We also woke up to snow on Saturday morning, much to Billy’s delight. I made a snowman while he threw snowballs at Mum. He thought this was the best part.
As for my writing, well I am trying not to lose it completely, I did finish the book map that I have been using as a guide to how I want the book to progress, it is only a guideline and I try not to dwell too much on it, because if I do, I will only end up with a story that is boring me while I write.
