The Muse Came Back!

I have clocked up 3000 words today!  Yeah hoo.  I concentrated on a part that I wanted to have my main male character focus on, and the muse came back.  It had been something i was thinking about, and obviously by ignoring my main male character, he was ignoring me, so when I found him again, he was more than happy to oblige.  Typical male…

Tycelon is a complex character, who has more depth than I first imagined.  I think he is a combination of all the things I like about males, and a couple of traits that get up my nose, but deep down he is a nice guy, and he wins!  Tycelon has lost his parents relatively early on and has battled on on his own, growing and learning through his own mistakes, although he doesn’t like to make mistakes, he prefers to get it right from the start and will work hard to get it right the first time.  He is my muse, when I write about him, I get inspiration and really figure out where I am going to go, but when I write about one of the other characters, he goes cold on me.  The problem is that the story revolves around several key characters, but I think he is jealous of the new character, Ubek that I originally wrote in so that I could kill him at the end, because I didn’t want any of the other characters dying.  Weird I know.  I tried to make Ubek arrogant and unlikeable, but he has grown on me.  He is arrogant and unlikeable because he doesn’t trust anyone and doesn’t trust himself.  He doesn’t want anyone getting close, and it is not until the last book that we find out why, he has such a huge secret that could blow him apart and jeopardise the entire mission.

Wow, thats deep!
