This Week in Review

This week has been a very busy week, for work and play.

Monday is traditionally a day at home for me, a chance to catch up on paperwork, housework, family play etc, and this Monday was no exception.  I have been finding it hard to make time for my three, soon to be four year old boy.  He is adorable but he is also such an intelligent little boy who seems to have skipped the “Why?” phase, but I think that is because I explain everything fully to him without too much complication.  Kerry was away for the night in Picton with my Dad and stepmum.  He was working in Blenheim and stays with them while he is over that way.

Tuesday, I had to go to town to assess a couple of claims, which was no worry, took Billy up to Mums in Motueka and she had him for a couple of hours, then I was home.  Ended up with 4 claims to look at and didn’t get back home here until 5pm, so I got home just before Kerry and had to get the fire going and get tea started.  Did manage to get two reports written.  Billy and I had a picnic on the doorstep.

Wednesday, day for trying to get reports done, but also spending time with my son.  The weather wasn’t very nice and our wood arrived, so I spent some time stacking what I could not get under a tarpaulin so that it would stay dryish.  Instead I hurt my back!

Thursday is Playcentre day, I work as an assistant at Playcentre and today, I decided to play with my son, who normally gets neglected at Playcentre because I am trying to focus on other children.  Not any more!  Got the rest of the wood away.

Friday, another day in town Assessing, but took Michelle with me so we could start up our beading business…  Our bank account is all set and ready to go.  Assessed two claims, and still trying to do the reports.

I have not done a lot of writing this week, trying to find time is hard.  I have made a start on the last book in the trilogy, and have some ideas rattling around, I just want to get them onto paper before I go too much further.  I have a tree map that I use to help me develop ideas and formulate chapters.  I don’t stick to it rigidly, but it gives me a basis for my writing.  I am hoping that things settle down enough soon and I can get back into a routine so that I can start writing again.  I want to finish this second book.
