Well this week, it was the week from Hell. Not much writing done, in fact the only writing I have been doing is file notes on Insurance Claims!
Tapawera managed to escape the worst of the weather, we got some rain, but no wind, but Nelson was hammered by a Windstorm, and I have now got 24 claims, 20 of which I have already assessed.
Today, being Sunday, is the first day I have stopped long enough to contemplate my navel, I have been so busy. The first night, Wednesday, I received a phone call to say I had 4 new claims coming, which was on top of the two I already had plus the afterhours call out. I had a cold which also made things worse.
Thursday I spent all day in town, assessing claims, I did 8 in all and finally switched off my cellphone because I got sick of it telling me I had a new message. I assessed two claims on Friday and 10 claims yesterday (saturday).
I have two to look at tomorrow and two on Tuesday in Blenheim, plus I also have to write all of the reports, which is going to be very interesting!
I am looking forward to getting back onto my book, as it is part of my “The End is Nigh” Challenge for the Kiwi Writers. It is something that I really want to finish.
